The Leo Beranek Medal is awarded annually by INCE to outstanding undergraduate and graduate students at academic institutions in North America that have courses in, or related to, noise control engineering, including practical applications.
The Beranek Student Medal was established with the support of the INCE Foundation to promote education in noise control engineering. INCE is the leading noise control engineering association in North America helping to enable a quieter, better world for all.
“Noise control engineering is one of the few careers where you can impact the daily lives of many different people in various ways.” Said Michael Bahtiarian, president, INCE. “For almost a decade, INCE has recognized academically outstanding college students pursuing careers in noise control engineering. This year’s award winners come from two of the leading noise control academic programs in the United States. These student’s academic preparation and practical hands-on experience were exemplary. I expect they will have wonderful careers in noise control engineering.”
