Institute of Noise Control Engineering Announces Lang And Miller Award Winners

RESTON, VA. –  December 4, 2020 --The Institute of Noise Control Engineering (INCE-USA) announced today the William W. Lang Award for the Distinguished Noise Control Engineer  and the Laymon N. Miller Award for Excellence in Acoustical Consulting award winners.  Kenneth Kaliski, senior director, RSG, was presented the Lang Award and the Miller Award was given to Douglas Sturz, principal consultant, ACENTECH.

“Ken and Doug exemplify excellence in the noise control and acoustical engineering field and it is a pleasure for INCE-USA to recognize them for their professional accomplishments and contributions,” said Michael Bahtiarian, president, INCE-USA. “Award winners are selected by a panel of their peers comprised of INCE-USA members.  The Lang and Miller Awards are two of the most prestigious honors to receive in the noise control industry.”

The Lang Award recognizes individuals who have rendered conspicuous and consistently outstanding service to INCE-USA and to the field of noise control engineering over a sustained period. Kaliski has 34 years’ experience as a noise control engineer specifically in the area of environmental noise control.   He specializes in community noise monitoring and modeling, architectural acoustics, transportation noise, and industrial noise control.
