Eric Wood, George Maling, and Robert Hellweg are Fellows and Past Presidents of INCE-USA. Adnan Akay is Provost, Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey and Gregg Fleming is Director of Policy, Planning, and Environment of the U.S. DOT Volpe National Transportation Systems Center. Together, they are the Technology for a Quieter America (TQA) Steering Committee. They plan and manage the TQA workshops. The TQA workshops are hosted by the National Academy of Engineering and organized by the INCE Foundation.

More than 100 noise control engineering experts have attended and made technical presentations at the TQA workshops. The experts share their knowledge with each other during the workshops. The presenters have represented industry, government agencies, consulting firms, and the general public. Examples include Acentech, AECOM, Airbus, Bilkent University, Boeing, Cummins, Epsilon, FAA, Georgia Tech, Hellweg Acoustics, HMMH, Illingworth & Rodkin, Ingersoll Rand, Intertek, Intel, JKT Enterprises, Lockheed Martin, Michigan Technological University, NASA, Naval Research, Nelson Acoustics, NIOSH, Ohio State University, OSHA, Owens Corning, Penn State, Purdue University, RSG, Scantek, University of Kentucky, Virginia Tech, Volpe Center, and many others from industry, government, universities, and consultants.

Eleven TQA workshops have been held during 2012 to 2021. A technical report has been prepared following each TQA workshop. The reports address each presentation made during the workshops.

The reports have been accepted by INCE-USA as public information documents and are all available for download at no cost from the INCE-USA website. (https://www.inceusa.org/publications/technical-reports/) The workshop reports with expert presentations are available to all. The 2022 TQA workshop is now being planned for later this year during 1 to 4 November. The titles and dates of each TQA workshop are listed below:
