The "Safe-in-Sound Excellence in Hearing Loss Prevention Award" recognizes those employers that go out of their way to ensure the safety of employees’ hearing by implementing exemplary hearing loss prevention programs. Applicants are evaluated against key performance indicators in a review process designed to evaluate hearing loss prevention programs.
In addition, the "Innovation in Hearing Loss Prevention Award" recognizes individuals or organizations for their dedication to fostering, creating and implementing new and unique, evidence-based advances in the prevention of hearing loss and for creating innovative solutions to real workplace hearing loss prevention challenges.
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2018 Safe-in-Sound awards. The awards are sponsored by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), in partnership with the National Hearing Conservation Association (NHCA) to recognize excellence in hearing loss prevention. The 2018 Awards will be presented at the at the NHCA Annual Conference, on February 16, 2018 in Orlando, FL.
