Located in the heart of Happy Valley, State College, PA, The Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State is an integral part of one of the leading research universities in the nation and serves as a University Center of Excellence in Defense science, systems, and technologies with a focus in naval missions and related areas. We are searching for Flow Acoustics and Structural Acoustics Engineers, under either the staff engineering track or Faculty track, for our Fluid Dynamics and Acoustics Office. Your responsibilities for each position will vary.

The engineer track positions require a Bachelor's degree (MS or PhD preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Acoustics. The faculty track positions require a Master's degree (PhD preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Acoustics. Experience requirements are different for each position.
You will be subject to a government security investigation and you must be a U.S. citizen to apply. Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen. These are one-year, fixed-term renewable appointments.
