Position Description/Job Responsibilities

  • Perform noise modelling studies using SoundPlan software and design solutions to comply with chemical plant, refinery, and other industrial facilities noise limits
  • Perform vibration and fatigue analysis using FEA tools and ASME Sec VIII Div 2 methods
  • Infrequent travel is required to perform in plant noise surveys or to take vibration measurements
  • Perform Acoustic induced vibration analysis on large diameter piping systems

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Acoustics; course work in Acoustics and/or Vibration preferred>
  • One (1) to five (5) years of experience with finite element analysis and MatLab would be beneficial together with relevant noise and vibration experience preferred
