INCE-USA is a Member Society of the International Commission for Acoustics (ICA). The purpose of the ICA is to promote international development and collaboration in all fields of acoustics including research, development, education, and standardisation. INCE Board Certified Member Dr. Lily Wang has been elected President-Elect of the Acoustical Society of America: she will assume the office of President on 11 May 2018.

A Special Session honoring Leo Beranek's life and contributions was held during NOISE-CON 2017. The slide presentations (including embedded audio and video) are now available for download.
The 6th Noise and Vibration Emerging Methods (NOVEM) conference will be held in Ibiza (Balearic Islands, Spain) 7-9 May 2018. The NOVEM conferences are small, focused events held in small venues to encourage interaction and exchange. Abstracts are now being accepted and are due by 15 October 2017. INCE-USA is excited to announce that James K. Thompson, Ph D, PE is the new Editor of the Noise Control Engineering Journal (NCEJ). Dr. Thompson assumed this new position on July 01 with the retirement of Courtney Burroughs, Ph D.
