Annual $6,000 scholarship for students studying noise control or architectural acoustics.
The INCE Student Scholarship is granted to a college student studying noise control or architectural acoustics in the United States of America who, through personal qualifications and proposed research experience, is judged to exhibit the highest potential for performing research benefiting some aspect of noise control and promoting its usefulness to society. An application must be received for each candidate wishing to be considered for this award.
The Leo Beranek Student Medal for Excellence in the Study of Noise Control
Recognizing excellence in the study of noise control by undergraduate and graduate students.
The Martin Hirschorn IAC Prize - Graduate Student Project Award
Awarded biennially as a contribution to the education of a graduate student studying noise control engineering in the United States of America, who proposes a project related to an application of noise control engineering and/or acoustical conditioning of architectural spaces.
The INCE-USA Undergraduate Student Project Award
Provides support for undergraduate students who are undertaking an independent studies project work in noise control engineering and related topics. Multiple awards are available each year. Recognizing a student’s outstanding presentation of a seminal paper in the field of noise control at each INCE-USA sponsored conference (NOISECON or INTER-NOISE Congress) at which a "Classic Papers" session is held.
The INCE-USA Outstanding Educator Award for Excellence in the Teaching of Noise Control Engineering
Honors a person who has significantly advanced the technology and practice of noise control through unique contributions to the education of future noise control engineers.
Guidance for Students in Noise Control Engineering
The INCE-USA Student Activities Committee seeks to further education in Noise Control Engineering, and to provide interested students with career guidance. Please try to narrow the area for which you want information (i.e. graduate education, a career in the auto industry, a career as architectural acoustics consultant, etc).
