Acoustical Engineer, Lancaster, PA
As North America’s largest user of recycled scrap tire rubber, ECORE International (www.ecoreintl.com) processes more than 80 million pounds of scrap tire rubber each year, helping to conserve more than one million barrels of oil while converting pliable treads into durable products for the construction, consumer, commercial, industrial, sports and leisure markets. We are seeking an Acoustical Engineer for our Lancaster, PA facility.
The Acoustical Engineer will provide critical technical services support for the Sales & Marketing and Technical Services departments. This position will support external customers and ECORE Sales personnel. They will work closely with our Research and Development department in creating, modifying and certifying new and existing products. The Acoustical Engineer will assist with sales, distribution and marketing to achieve profitable growth of Business Unit.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Services, Sales & Marketing Support
- Support customer enquiries to determine needs and uses for ECORE products, generate proposals and quotations; recommending appropriate ECORE acoustic products
- Provide technical support to customers and ECORE personnel, answering questions and suggesting solutions to problems associated with the acoustical line of products
- Working closely with other sales and marketing colleagues to develop specific communications that focus on differentiating the brand from competitors
- Provide updates on competitive developments, making suggestions as to how ECORE can best align ourselves within the noise control market
- Represent ECORE at trade shows and relevant association meetings
- Training customers, sales managers and other internal sales support representatives concerning all facets of acoustical products (product selection, installation, etc.)
- Provide warranty support for assigned product lines
Research and Development
- Work with the Research and Development department to suggest improvements and develop new products helping keep ECORE at the forefront of the industry
- Writing specifications and certifying products to achieve business plan objectives and profit
Requirements:
- BS in Acoustical Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent line of study
- Knowledge of sound engineering materials and building products
- Experience managing multiple projects at one time
- Sales and/or Marketing experience is preferred but not required
- Must be creative and self-motivated, comfortable working with customers, sales teams, chemists and technical services personnel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and targeted goals
- Computer proficiency with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, etc.)
