Application Research Center Technical Tour Tue 07/29, 7:00-10:00pm Cost $20 per person Bus leaves from hotel entrance at 7:00pm Description: The Application Research Center (ARC) is a unique testing facility based on a cooperative agreement among Material Sciences Corporation, Bruel & Kjaer, and Link Engineering. The ARC houses three brake NVH dynamometers, both vertical panel and horizontal panel sound transmission loss suites, a fully anechoic room, a hemi-anechoic noise and vibration test cell, and a hemi-anechoic four wheel chassis dynamometer. In addition, a full array of the latest noise and vibration measurement systems are employed in the facility. The measurements systems available include over 200 data acquisition channels, a conformal array, a spherical beam forming system, a complete vehicle NVH simulator, and many more measurement tools. The tour of this facility will provide an opportunity to see all of these facilities and see demonstrations of novel measurement systems. ARC personnel will be available to perform demonstrations and answer questions during and after the tour. This facility is unique in providing a wide range of capabilities in on site and should provide for an interesting tour.
