Session Titles and Descriptions for Noise-Con 2008
Technical Activity 9.0: Noise Control in Product Development
9.1 Information Technology Noise - Go back - Submit Abstract
INCE Organizers: Terry Baird, Marco Beltman
Papers related to all aspects of noise emitted by information technology equipment. It includes regulatory aspects, technology development, noise control and the study of subjective perception aspects for these devices.
9.2 Noise Engineering in Product Development - Go back - Submit Abstract
INCE Organizer: Matt Nobile
Papers on noise engineering for product developmenyt are invited. Design, experiement and analysis techniques related to noise reduction or control are highly encouraged.
9.3 Noise from Reusable Facilities - Go back - Submit Abstract
INCE Organizer: Ken Kaliski
Papers on noise from reusable facilities are invited, for example measurment and analysis techniques of noises from wind power plant, noises from fuelcell cars.
9.4
9.5 Compressor Noise - Go back - Submit Abstract
INCE Organizers: Nathan Mouw, Mike Lucas
This session will focus on noise emissions from refrigeration compressors and air compressors. Areas of interest include: screw, reciprocating, scroll, sliding vane, and centrifugal compressors. Studies pertaining to experimental, theoretical, or numerical that address the sources of noise and the transmission paths are of particular interest. Other areas of interest are application examples that describe packaging compressors to minimize product noise emissions.
