Technical Activity 7.0: Automotive Noise

7.1 Vehicle Interior Noise
(joint with ASME NCAD) - Go back - Submit Abstract to Noise-Con - Submit Abstract to NCAD - What's the difference?

INCE Organizers: Eric Frenz, Terence Connelly, ASME NCAD Organizer: Sue Sung

Papers on experimental, numerical and theoretical stuidies on identification, prediction and assessment of vehicle interior noise are invited.

7.2 Automotive Mufflers - Go back - Submit Abstract

INCE Organizer: Ahmet Selamet

Papers on analysis, measurment and design of automotive mufflers are invited.

7.3 Noise from Automotive Parts - Go back - Submit Abstract

INCE Organizer: Jim Thompson

The sound and vibration performance of automobiles has become an important standard for customers in judging vehicle quality. As such, it is a major issue in J D Power surveys and for the automobile manufacturers and their suppliers. In some cases NVH is also a significant component in warranty costs for manufacturers. This session will present an overview of the analytical and test techniques being used to evaluate and improve NVH performance in vehicles and vehicle components.

INCE Organizer: Kin Hong

The objective of this session is to explore and address the issues of latestĀ developments in vibrations analysis, testing equipment and measurement techniques related to vehicle NVH problems.

7.5 Powertrain NVH - Go back - Submit Abstract

INCE Organizers: Ming-Ran Lee, Ming-Te Cheng

Papers on NVH problems of automotive power train are invited. Development of experimental, numerical and analytical techniques, case studies are sought for.
