Technical Activity 3.0: Acoustic Materials

3.1 Modeling and Measurement of Acoustic Material Properties and Design for Noise Performance
(joint with ASME NCAD) - Go back - Submit Abstract to Noise-Con - Submit Abstract to NCAD - What's the difference?

INCE Organizers: J. Stuart Bolton, Gordon Ebbit, ASME NCAD Organizer: Sue Sung

The continuing demand for materials with improved acoustical performance requires a better understand of material characteristics though modeling and measurement. Papers are solicited that consider material development, mathematical modeling, test methods, material property measurements, material design, performance evaluation, and integration of innovative new materials for noise performance. A broad scope of acoustic materials (such as, poro-elastic, fibrous, micro-perforated, damping materials, etc) as well as innovative lightweight and multilayered materials are of interest. Active, smart and multi-functional materials are of particular interest.
