Session Titles and Descriptions for NoiseCon 2007

Technical Activity 2.0: Passive Noise Control

2.1 Vendor Products: Noise Control - Go back

Organizer: Steve Roth

This session will give noise control material manufacturers some leeway to discuss their products from a practical, technical perspective. This will be the fourth NoiseCon meeting at which we will have conducted this well received session. We hope that it will continue to be a regular session at NoiseCon/Inter-Noise meetings.

2.2 Vibration Damping for Noise Control - Go back

Organizer: Joe Maly

Passive vibration damping has become an established structural design discipline that can be implemented for reduction of noise levels in many applications. Coupled structural-acoustic analysis can be used to design and optimize designs. We invite papers on passive damping techniques that are applicable for noise control, including but not limited to constrained-layer and free-layer viscoelastic damping and tuned mass damping. Case studies demonstrating correlation of analysis with test are encouraged.
