Acoustical Consultant specializing in architectural acoustics

The Papadimos Group has an immediate opening for an experienced acoustical consultant specializing in architectural acoustics. This is a lead position with equity potential.

We are a growing firm located in the San Francisco Bay Area consulting in all aspects of building acoustics and noise and vibration control. Our assignments are throughout the USA and abroad and some travel will be required.

We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical and communication skills, demonstrated ability to prepare technical reports, be able to multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously, and willingness to technically challenge themselves. 
Some of the key qualifications include:

• Minimum B.S. or B.A. degree in acoustics, engineering, architecture or related discipline
• Minimum of 10 years experience as an acoustical consultant with a focus in architectural acoustics and building systems noise and vibration control
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to read and review drawings and quickly identify potential acoustical, noise control and vibration issues
• Proven track record of preparing cohesive reports and explaining issues both with in-house staff and the client’s project team members
• Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to think creatively and provide constructible, affordable and aesthetically pleasing solution
• Strong computer skills including Autocad, Microsoft Office highly desirable
• Finite element and acoustic modeling analysis skills are a plus but not required
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
